At a Super Smash Bros.tournament in Boston this past weekend,Watch Hana ni Keda Mono: Second Season Online one of the best Meleeplayers in the world came across a player in the middle of a match who was playing with his controller upside down. He wasn't half bad.
Pro Meleeplayer Juan "Hungrybox" DeBiedma posted a video of the unorthodox player on Twitter, who you can see playing as Fox and moving around Final Destination without a hitch.
This Tweet is currently unavailable. It might be loading or has been removed.
The 16-year-old player goes by the name Nooch, and has played video games with upside down controllers since he was a kid, according to his Reddit AMA someone linked in a reply to the tweet where he responded to a simple comment asking "Why."
Apparently he didn't have an instruction manual on hand.
In the AMA, Nooch posted a clip of himself playing as Fox in Melee, in which he kicks a computer player's ass.
Interestingly, Nooch appears to be playing with a Gamecube controller signed by Hungrybox in the Twitch clip.
Although Nooch's unorthodox playstyle is interesting to watch, it didn't do him any favors at the Shine 2017 tournament. He lost his first match in pools and was knocked out early.
Meanwhile, Hungrybox took first place in Meleesingles, earning yet another championship at a major Meleetournament.
