Chuck Todd,Series Archives like many folks around the United States, is tired of not talking about how to solve America's mass-shooting virus.
The Meet the Presshost spent part of Tuesday asking why, when it comes to gun violence, the right time to talk about it always seems to be never, including now, days after a man killed 59 and injured hundreds when he opened fire above a concert in Las Vegas on Sunday night.

"Now is not the time to talk about how to deal with gun violence. Now is not the time. Think about that. Why is now not the time? "

Here's the rest of Todd's monologue:
"When planes flew into the World Trade Center and the Pentagon, did we say now is not the time to talk about terrorism or homeland security? When our banking system nearly collapsed in 2008, did we say now is not the time to talk about financial regulation? When we learned that some 140 million people's records had been breached at Equifax, did we say now is not the time to talk about cybersecurity? When we learned about Russian meddling and fake news and cyber bots, did we say now is not the time to talk about regulating Twitter and Facebook? When North Korean launched longer-range missiles and claimed to have exploded a hydrogen bomb, did we say now is not the time to talk about nuclear proliferation? The point is, this is exactly the time to start talking about any issue, gun violence included. If we wait until cooler heads prevail on any of these, we never talk about it. And in fact, if we applied the same logic to every other debate and every other crisis that this country faces that we do to the gun debate, we never would have focused on any of those issues, either. Then again, maybe that is the point."
Todd's comments could be taken as a response to any number of people. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, for example, said it wasn't appropriate to discuss legislation at the moment.
His comments could also be seen as a rebuke to pundits on Fox News, who spent the hours after the Las Vegas shooting bemoaning any type of talk about legislation. The Daily Showeven put together a little montage as proof:
Tonight at 11/10c, Fox News would talk about gun control, but their schedule is PACKED. pic.twitter.com/76wXiy5Ujp

In the U.S., the debate on gun violence solutions has retreated to a debate on when we can debate such things.
