All hail the King. Black Pantheris already outpacing all other superhero movies with advance ticket sales.
Black Panther is currently Fandango's top ticket-seller. 001 Archivesfilm is not due out for almost two weeks.
According to Fandango, 97 percent of surveyed users said they look forward to "a different kind of superhero movie," and 93 percent have been looking forward to Black Panthersince the character's debut in Captain America: Civil War.
“The buzz on Black Pantheris electric,” says Fandango Managing Editor Erik Davis. “Early screening audiences say it is one of Marvel’s best movies ever, and the positive word-of-mouth is helping drive the movie’s spectacular advance ticket sales.”
Survey responses were also overwhelmingly positive in favor of the film's optimism, in anticipation of seeing Wakanda, and in excitement for performances from Michael B. Jordan and the film's many female warriors.
Social media responses to the film's Monday premiere were nothing short of glowing, to the point where you'd have to do some genuine digging to find a bad – or even mediocre – response.
