NFL teams might not be tricked into sex videosjumping at the opportunity to sign Colin Kaepernick, but the former San Francisco 49ers quarterback has some deals of his own in the works.
The 29-year-old athlete who started a massive cultural movement after refusing to stand during the national anthem in protest of police brutality in America and unjust treatment of the black community reportedly signed a book deal with Random House, according to NBC Sports.

Kaepernick's protest began over a year ago, but he's struggled to get a job in the league since he opted out of his contract and became a free agent in March. Despite the lack of a steady paycheck flowing in from the NFL, Kaepernick has donated to various charities — including Coalition for the Homeless, Meals on Wheels, and Home 2 Heart — amidst the controversy.
Even though Kaepernick has been missing from the field in the 2017-2018 NFL season, his protest has continued to spread in his absence. Players of many other teams have kneeled, thrown their fists in the air, or remained in the locker rooms either during or before the anthem. Off the field, celebrities like Stevie Wonder and Jay-Z have also shown their support.
President Trump also weighed in on Kaepernick's actions, heavily condemning any player who doesn't stand during the anthem, claiming it's "disrespectful" towards the country. Trump went so far as to attack the NFL and suggest those who don't stand should be fired.
Kaepernick recently challenged the NFL by filing a grievance against the owners for collusion, so he should have no shortage of thoughts and feelings about his recent experiences to share with the world in a book.
Mashable reached out to Random House for additional comment.
