Want fellow daters to rule in your favor?Fantasy Archives Maybe you should have become a lawyer.
According to some new data out from the dating app Happn, being an attorney is most likely to help you rack up the likes. The app, which uses your real-time location to find people who’ve crossed your path, analyzed their 2.9 million users and figured out the five professions considered the hottest for both men and women.
Lawyers were the most "crushed" -- Happn’s lingo for being liked -- among men and women both. It’s a bit surprising, since lawyers don’t exactly have a reputation for being super fascinating or sweet. But perhaps they have other qualities to recommend them, like ambition and relatively high incomes.
For men, users who identified themselves as analysts came in just behind lawyers. After that, engineers, salesmen, and doctors rounded out the top five. In second place for women was being a designer. Then it was teacher, marketer, and physician.
It's worth remembering that this info doesn't necessarily apply to dating apps across the board. But if you're looking for love on Happn, basically be a doctor or a lawyer -- it’s horrifying how closely this mirrors the advice so many of our parents have given us. *shudders
