To Trump's credit -- and I mean that as someone who has said plenty of stupid things in my own right -- he recovered quickly with a response that helped diffuse any awkward tension. Still, it would have been better to not assume his father was dead?
Of course, Trump is still in power so, really, the joke's on us, I guess.
