Crayola has retired one of the colors from its classic 24-pack early and Australiahearts are breaking.
Last week, the art supply company announced it would be canning a crayon on March 31 (a.k.a. National Crayon Day), but because the company likes to toy with our emotions, they cast off the weakest link Thursday afternoon.
So who got booted from the box?
Say goodbye to Crayola’s beloved Dandelion.
A spokesperson from Crayola told Mashable that the gold-colored crayon's early departure was due to "a case of wanderlust" and "an adventurous spirit," and though the crayon seems pretty jazzed in its retirement video, we can bet if it'd been given the choice that good old Dandelion crayon wouldn't want to part from its BFFs of over 100 years.
This Tweet is currently unavailable. It might be loading or has been removed.
More details -- including the new color set to join the 24-count box -- will be unveiled Friday at a Crayola event in Times Square, which will be livestreamed on Facebook.
Break free from the box and go enjoy your life, Dandelion. You will be missed.
