Looks like another case for Detective Benoit Blanc.

On Thursday,Ejaculate Me So i’m Tired Lionsgate announced a sequel to Knives Out, the popular ensemble whodunit from last fall. CEO Jon Feltheimer told investors and journalists on a quarterly earnings call that the project was officially in development — reaffirming writer-director Rian Johnson's reported interest in an Agatha Christie-like anthology.

A release date was not specified, although Feltheimer hinted that the company's "2022 slate will be one of our most exciting ever." (Notably, John Wick 4is also in-development at the studio.)

In January, Johnson told The Hollywood Reporter, among other outlets, he was eager to expand upon the universe created in the first film, with Daniel Craig's Detective Benoit Blanc as a potential franchise through-line. That said, he's not eager to call the project "a sequel."

"I’ve never really been interested in doing sequels, but this, the idea of doing more of these with Daniel as his character, is not sequels," Johnson said in an interview with Uproxx. "It’s just coming up with a whole new mystery, a whole new location, all new cast, whole new mechanics of the appeal of a mystery and everything. It’d be a blast."

Based on that, it seems unlikely audiences will see Marta Carbrera, the Thrombeys, or the Drysdales again. Which on-screen talent will return for the second installment is unclear, though Craig has reportedly expressed interest and an argument for Lakeith Stanfield's Detective Elliot could be made.

Will we get another sweater heard 'round the world? A new mug to lust after? Some explanation of which dimension Blanc's accent came from?! Only time will tell.
