LG will showcase a bendable display at this year's CES,Caged Women which kicks off on Jan. 11.
The 48-inch Bendable Cinematic Sound (CSO) OLED display can bend and go back to fully flat as needed. The idea is to flatten the screen when watching TV and turn it into a curved display when gaming for better immersion.
The display can do more than just bend. LG's CSO tech also makes the display vibrate and produce sound, meaning it doesn't require speakers. LG says the film exciter — the part that vibrates the display and produces the sound — has been slimmed down from 9mm to 0.6mm, making the resulting display quite thin.
Other specs of note include a 40Hz to 120Hz variable refresh rate, and an "infinite" contrast ratio. LG says the display has been optimized for eye comfort as it emits a low level of blue light, which should make it suitable for long gaming sessions.

The company has also launched a series of Mini LED TVs, called LG QNED Mini LED TVs, positioning them at the top of its LCD TV range.
LG has also launched a teaser for all of its display-related CES 2021 announcements. Check it out, below.
