Twitter is brother and sister sex partners videoworking on a feature called Coins, allowing users to support creators on the platform.
This is according to hacker Jane Manchun Wong, who managed to see the partially finished feature in action.

Wong also tweeted a screenshot of the Coins menu that takes the user to the purchase screen, as well as list of Twitter Awards you can send to other users, which range from "1 Mind Blown" equalling one coin, to "1 Gold! equalling 5,000 coins.

Wong claims that Twitter Coins will be purchased through Stripe on the web. There's no mention of crypto anywhere, despite CEO Elon Musk's long-professed love for the Doge cryptocurrency. However, Stripe does accept crypto as payment, so it's possible that users will be able to buy Twitter Coins with crypto.
The feature resembles Reddit Coins, which users can purchase and then spend on awards that they can give to other users. Recipients are able to convert these coins into a Reddit Premium membership, which gives them additional perks on the platform.

According to a screenshot Wong posted last week, it appears that recipients of Awards will be able to redeem them for actual money, though they will have to wait until their balance crosses $50.
