Rooster Teeth's new half-hour comedy roundtable series is sex video sleepheaded to go90, Mashablehas exclusively learned.
What Do You Know?, hosted by Rooster Teeth co-founder and personality Joel Heyman, will debut on the Verizon mobile app on Jan. 30.
Each episode will feature Heyman and a panel of guests -- including Rooster Teeth personalities, comedians and various experts -- who will weigh in on a wide variety of topics including robots, online trolling, college, time travel, catfishing, cheating, ghosts and other topics.
Guests include Emmy-nominated comedian Mike Lawrence, award-winning stand-up comedian Lane Moore, technology YouTuber Austin Evans, actor/comedian Moses Storm, BuzzFeed’s Executive Creative Producer Summer Anne Burton, co-host of truTV’s Almost Genius Chris Fairbanks and Austin-based comedian Maggie Maye.
Rooster Teeth personalities Barbara Dunkelman, Blaine Gibson, Josh Flanagan, Ashley Jenkins, Jack Pattillo, Chris Demarais, Miles Luna and others will also make appearances.
“You know that friend in your circle that seems to have endless reams of useless knowledge stored away in their head?" Heyman, who co-created the show, said in a statement. "We’re hoping to make every viewer into a version of that guy with this new show."
Rooster Teeth, the Austin-based production company behind hits such as Red vs. Blue, has attracted more than 20 million subscribers to its YouTube channels.
The company, founded in 2003 and acquired by the digital entertainment company Fullscreen in 2014, also boasts 3 million unique monthly visitors to the RoosterTeeth.com hub and 1.8 million registered community members.
Matt Hullum, Rooster Teeth's chief executive, said go90 will help the show "reach a wide range of people." This is the latest add to go90's growing programming offerings.
Since launching in fall 2015, the platform has acquired a ton of content from digital giants, including a show hosted by Snooki and J-Woww from AwesomenessTV's Awestruck, as well as a handful of traditional stars, including The Runner from Matt Damon and Ben Affleck.
"We love doing shows like this," Hullum told Mashablein an email interview. "We have an ever growing variety of shows like the RT Podcast and Always Open that offer a forum for Rooster Teeth personalities to talk about current events, but we’ve never had a show where we could really dive deep on a single subject for an extended period of time. That’s what makes What Do You Knowunique for us, and I think Joel Heyman and his creative team have done an amazing job of making a roundtable that’s truly hilarious and well-informed at the same time."
