Getting paid to eat out sounds like a dream come true.
Now there's an app for that. For the hassle of booking a meal through reservation app Seated,Korea Archives you can get a reward in the form of Lyft credit for your next ride.
SEE ALSO: Grubhub is making it easier to support woman-led restaurantsThe app already gives $10 to $50 in rewards from Starbucks and Amazon, but starting this month diners who reserve a meal through the app can choose to receive Lyft money. This is an ongoing partnership where Seated operates in Atlanta, Austin, Boston, Chicago, Washington, D.C., Denver, Los Angeles, Miami, New York, Philadelphia, and San Francisco.
An additional $10 in Lyft credit is up for grabs for first-time Seated users.
Here's how it works. Download the Seated app and put in the promo code "LYFTxSEATED." Then, look for a restaurant on the app, book a reservation, head out, chow down, pay as usual, then look on the app for your rewards. Your reward amount is based on dining time and group size.
It's not an endless buffet, however. Lyft is offering $1 million worth of ride credits through the reservation reward app.
The partnership is supposed to encourage the use of ride-sharing for getting to local businesses, like restaurants through the Seated app. That might happen, but it might attract regular Lyft users looking for some account credit.
No matter, you leave with a full belly and some savings in your pocket. Maybe even a doggy bag for lunch tomorrow.
