Arnold Schwarzenegger -- a man who is Watch Internal Affairs Onlinedefinitely not running for president in 2020, OK?!?!? --- was horrified like so many other decent humans by the Charlottesville violence.
The former Governor decided to respond to the tragedy by donating $100,000 to the Simon Wiesenthal Center, the global human rights organization behind the Museum of Tolerance in Los Angeles. Schwarzenegger posted about his decision on his Facebook page.
SEE ALSO: 80 totally benign things Trump condemned more harshly than neo-Nazis“While these so-called ‘white nationalists’ are lucky to live a country that defends their right to voice their awful, incorrect, hateful opinions, the rest of us must use our voices and resources to condemn hate and teach tolerance at every opportunity," Schwarzenegger said.
"My message to them is simple: you will not win," he wrote. "Our voices are louder and stronger. There is no white America - there is only the United States of America. You were not born with these hateful views - you can change, grow, and evolve, and I suggest you start immediately."
Donations to nonprofits in Charlottesville area have spiked since the weekend's devastating tragedy. As of Monday, Beloved Community Charlottesville received a $67,000 increase in donations.
The DSA raised $150,000 for a medical fund for counter protesters.
