Apple's AI-enhanced Siri is Drama Archivesprobably coming in the spring of 2026, a new report claims.
This is according to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman, who claims that this is an "internal release target" within Apple for the "delayed upgrade" of Siri.
In terms of iOS releases, Apple is targeting the iOS 26.4 software update to bring this new Siri into the world. For reference, Apple released the first iOS 26 beta to developers earlier this week, following a launch during Apple’s 2025 Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) keynote.
And while the iOS 26 release did come with a number of new Apple Intelligence features, Siri was mostly left the same as before.
Some of the features that are coming were announced more than a year ago, at Apple's WWDC 2024, which took place last June. This includes Siri being aware of what's happening on your iPhone's screen and providing personalized answers. Officially, this is coming with a future software update; according to Apple's senior vice president of software engineering Craig Federighi, that software update will be ready sometime next year.
In an interview at this year's WWDC, Federighi said that the problems arose when the company tried to consolidate two different Siri architectures, one dependable but without the new features, and the other far more advanced but ultimately not stable enough for a wide release yet.
According to Bloomberg's report, if all goes well, Apple might preview some of the new features when it launches the new iPhone this fall, but the timeline could shift and nothing is set in stone just yet.
