The World Of Single Jayeworld lost a shining star this week. Zsa Zsa, the recently crowned "world's ugliest dog" passed away early Tuesday morning at the age of 9.
Zsa Zsa's owner, Megan Brainard, broke the devastating news to the Todayshow, and fans are mourning along with her.

He woke up this morning and found her passed away," Brainard told Today. "I’m still in shock. It’s kind of like when she won," Brainard said, referring to Zsa Zsa's June 23 victory in the "world's ugliest dog" contest. "It’s been two weeks and I still don’t believe it. It’s probably going to be the same with her passing," she continued.
The dog was named after actress Zsa Zsa Gabor and was just nearly as much of a star as Gabor was in her heyday. "She knew she was special," Brainard said. "She never really showed much excitement but yes, she was definitely living it up after she won."
In addition to an obituary in The New York Times, Zsa Zsa is being remembered by fans online — from those who just longed to pet her one day to others who thought she was beautiful.
