Another day,Animation Archives another fatberg.
It was only last year that a giant clump of wet wipes and trash was found in an Australian sewer. But this recent sewer ball found in east London is even larger. Way, way larger.

Actually, large is a bit of an understatement -- this blockade of trash is about 250 meters long. And it's being removed from a Victorian-era sewer pipe.

In addition to being insanely long, the fatberg weighs 130 metric tons, which is heavier than four humpback whales or 11 double decker buses. According to Thames Water, it's also around ten times bigger than another famous fatberg found in Kingston in 2013.
Fatbergs begin forming when people improperly dispose of trash by dumping it in sinks or toilets.

So, uh, don't do that.
Can't wait to find the next terrifying evidence of how our horrible existence affects our sewers.
