To be honest, we're not sure how to react to this. But we are certain that this is peak (or should I say "peep?") ridiculousness.
"It seemed all people could talk about was the O.J. Simpson trial … again," the Washington City Papersaid about the state of pop culture in 2016. "So it’s fitting that the winner of our first annual Peeps diorama contest is Larisa Baste’s exquisitely detailed rendering of the infamous courtroom saga, made entirely of Peeps."
The Washington City Papertook on the burden of hosting the 2017 Peeps Diorama Contestafter the contest's previous owners, The Washington Post, announced that they would be no longer be continuing it.
Baste shared to the City Paper that the diorama took 66 hours to make and required her to watch so many O.J. documentaries that "it kind of got out of control."
Who would have known that Peeps could be such an powerful tool in helping us recreate history?
