SEE ALSO: Trump to use personal Twitter account instead of @POTUS, report saysThere are a slew of events throughout the weekend but the big thing will be the swearing-in ceremony, starting at around 11:30 a.m. and continuing until around 1 p.m. with coverage across the networks before and after.
Whether you're taking it all in on TV, a laptop, or even VR, you have a wide variety of options.
With Cable
The usual myriad of news stations will be hosting wall-to-wall coverage of all inaugural events throughout the day. CNN, MSNBC, Fox News, and all of the major networks will be live all day from Washington, D.C.
But if you want just a streamlined version of events -- no excessive commentary or analysis -- then C-SPAN will be the channel for you.
Without Cable
So you don't have cable? That's totally OK because the inauguration is one of those things that will be plastered all over television. If you have an over-the-air antenna for your television, ABC, NBC, CBS, Fox, and PBS will all be carrying the event live.
Elsewhere
Not in the United States? Don't worry, you're covered. In the UK, both the BBC and Sky News will provide live coverage of the inauguration ceremonies on Friday afternoon.
Meanwhile, in Australia, the inauguration will happen in the wee hours of the morning but you'll still have several options. Channel Seven, Channel Nine, ABC, SBS World News, and Sky will all be offering live continuous coverage.
Twitter will be making a big splash this year with the inauguration, partnering with PBS Newshour to broadcast six hours of coverage, including the swearing-in ceremony and the inaugural parade.
If you prefer your coverage on Facebook Live, numerous media outlets will be sharing their broadcast on the platform, including the usual suspects like the New York Timesand Washington Post.
If you're not near a television, stuck at work, or just prefer to watch things online, there will be plenty of options for you. The news channels, including CNN, Fox News, MSNBC, and C-Span, will have livestreaming options, though those usually require a cable login to access.
The Joint Congressional Committee has you covered with straight-forward, commentary-free coverage on its website.
There will be other options, too, notably on YouTube. The White House YouTube channel will have an official stream going, as will PBS NewsHour, the New York Times, Bloomberg, and the Washington Post.
For a Spanish-language option, be sure to check out Telemundo on YouTube.
Other network options, like Reuters, CBS News Live, and Politico, will also offer up live coverage.
Hey, it's 2017! Of course someone is broadcasting the inauguration in virtual reality. If you can stomach high-definition, 360-degree viewing, head over to USA Today'sYouTube or Facebook page. If you're on a VR headset, you'll be able to access the video from those respective apps.
If you're old school and prefer listening to stuff on the radio while going on about your day -- maybe you'll be stuck driving or cleaning your house -- you can tune in to your local affiliates for Fox News Radio, ABC News, CBS News, NBC Radio, CNN News on TuneIn, BBC News Radio, and National Public Radio for audio coverage of the event.
If none of these options appeal to you, then head for your nearest pub or bar with a working television and maybe the bartender will switch it on for you because it's the middle of the day and everyone needs an excuse to drink.
