It sounds like Ms. Marvel could Watch Flesh Clerk Who Shoves You Up And Down Onlinebe joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe at some point. Sooner than you think, even.
Avengers: Infinity Warmarks the beginning of a year-long turning point in the MCU. After Ant-Man and the Waspcheers us up with superhero comedy this summer, there's a long wait until March 2019 for Captain Marvel, which then leads into May 2019's as-yet-untitled Avengers 4.
SEE ALSO: Who's who in 'Avengers: Infinity War'The road beyond that point for the MCU is still a big unknown. We have a sense of who some of the running storyline's major players will be in the next phase of films, but there are sure to be others.
Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige might have offered a big hint on who one of those unknown players will be. He suggested that plans are forming to bring Ms. Marvel, a superhero inspired by Captain Marvel whose alter-ego is a young Muslim woman named Kamala Khan, into the MCU.
"Ms. Marvel, which is another character in the comic books, the Muslim hero who is inspired by Captain Marvel, is definitely sort of in the works," Feige said during a BBC interview. "We have plans for that once we’ve introduced Captain Marvel to the world."
It's too early to make any assumptions here, of course. There's nothing confirmed and Feige's comment is too vague to read into very much. He answers the question so readily that it seems clear conversations about bringing Kamala Khan into the MCU have happened... but who knows how far they want?
A Ms. Marvel standalone movie would certainly be noteworthy in a post-Spider-Man: Homecomingworld. Kamala's experience as a teenage Pakistani American who is also a superhero makes for an interesting contrast to Peter Parker's MCU introduction.
Of course, given all the questions swirling in the aftermath of Infinity War, don't expect Marvel to get into much detail on its future plans until Avengers 4closes the loop on that story next year.
